Columbus, OH (PRWEB) December 10, 2004 -- Columbus lawyer and free lance writer Darry Roseman takes the reader on his personal voyage a few years back, through the 'process' of falling under the target of security at the Alrosa Villa - the nightclub where famed former Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell lost his life during the first 40 seconds of his band's (Damageplan) first set, December 8, 2004.
Unlike the crazed gunman Wednesday night - that succeeded in killing four people at Dime's show (including Dime himself), before a brave Columbus police officer shot and killed him, Mr. Roseman was unable to pull off his own caper . . . crafting the unnoticed disappearance of three cold cans of beer.
It would appear that unless a typical nightclub has the time to analyze a situation, gather its forces and plan an apprehension - all but the most mundane type of criminal activity can unfold in a place like Alrosa Villa... unfettered - at least until it is far too late - and out of the hands of the club or its employees.

"It is uncertain whether former Pantera band member, Dimebag Darrell - who lost his life at the Alrosa Villa nightclub here in town two nights ago - understood how security works at the club. Not that it would have made a difference.
"Some years back, and under some of the same ownership 'Dime' played for this week . . . I became 'involved'. It was after weeknight class at the Capital University Law School, and a completed full day of work besides - that I found myself on my way home and thinking more about a nightcap than case law. The Pat Travers Band (one of my many guitar heroes) was appearing at the Alrosa.
"A slight detour from my usual route home, put it right 'on my way.'
"When I got there, the parking lot was packed. It must've been 10:30 p.m. or so. As usual, I was broke and barely had the money to buy one ticket at the door to get myself into the place. It looked like I didn't even have enough money in my pocket after the 'door' to catch even a whiff of a beer buzz. Music does come first."
